So here I sit, air port lounge waiting to fly into LAX for a few me days. Throughout this whole trip days have gone by fast and some have dragged on. To think I’ve been overseas for a month and a half is pretty remarkable. I get a fair amount of messages about “how do I become a guitar tech”. Honestly its more of a job that you fall into. I don’t think anyone really sets out that as a career I want to be a guitar tech or stage manager ect. Things just happen to fall into place and you let them ride. Life can be hard, in fact it can be a bitch. But its the choices we make in life that can make it all worth it. I’ve been trying in my life to live “what if” and “maybe” free which I believe is one of the hardest things to do. “Well what if I do this, this will happen. Or maybe if this happens then this will fall into place.”. The problem with that is that you’re leaving a huge factor of life to chance. I’d like to say that I don’t live by chance but rather by faith. The mountains outside my bunk window seem larger then I remember in the pictures. This euro tour has gone by faster then any other euro tour I’ve ever done. I buy shot glasses from everywhere I’ve been, they’ll go on the shelf with everything else I’ve acquired. I’m going to paris tomorrow, I’ve never been there. I’m like a giddy school girl.
