in the air.

Today was my 61 delta flight, 90th something of the year.   I almost didn’t make my flight thanks to Baltimore traffic. I’ll blame my anxiety on the traffic and weather patterns.  After getting through security I walked right to my gate and on to the plane.  Damier bags in the overhead and sat down in 1A bulk head.  It’s roughly and hour and five minute flight back home to Detroit,  i plugged my in-ears to my phone and hit play.  I let the same song play over and over on repeat.  I went to my note pad and just started writing, for the entire flight i just wrote, no filter on my tongue, no one else to judge.  Just me emptying my mind to this notepad.  For that hour and five minutes no one could talk to me, no one could get to me, no one could hurt me.  The plane became my fort, just without blankets and flashlights.
